Project History

  • Assisted an international publishing company with upgrading their J.D. Edwards manufacturing software from the A6.2 release to the A7.3 release. This required identifying and documenting custom manufacturing modifications made to the A6.2 release and evaluating their functionality in the A7.3 release; responsible for applying custom modifications to the purchasing, purchasing receipts, voucher matching and work order functions.
  • Converted a sales reporting system from the HP/3000 to a reporting system based on the J.D. Edwards Sales Order Processing database for an international semi-conductor manufacturer.
  • Designed and programmed interfaces to link the J.D. Edwards & Company MRP module with the shop floor control software for an international semi-conductor manufacturer. The interface included programs to issue inventory to manufacturing orders, manufacturing completion of inventory to manufacturing orders, population of the Product Data Management database with Camstar Mesa product master data and manufacturing and production control reports.
  • Proficient in the use of J.D. Edwards & Company software features for Version A7.3. These features include data file, video and report design, Dream Writer definition, processing options, menu creation, user defined codes, vocabulary overrides, World Writer reports and data dictionary parameters and data file servers, business unit security and user profile definition.
  • Proficient in the use of Camstar Mesa software features for Version 2.00 A/C 0003. These features include ancillary product master and lot master definition, user exit functions, menu creation and user profile definition.
  • Assisted in a conversion project that required the population of J.D. Edwards item master related files with data from an acquired company that required the use of data dictionary concepts.
  • Utilized the J.D. Edwards Computer Assisted Programming (CAP) functions to design and produce sales history reports for an international publishing corporation. This involved understanding data dictionary item, Dream Writer, processing option, user-defined code and vocabulary override concepts used throughout the J.D. Edwards software.
  • Assisted an international publishing corporation with synchronizing multiple software development sites into a single development site using the Aldon Change Management System (ACMS). Programmed special functions for the ACMS to ensure program and environment integrity. Managed the implementation of software modifications to multiple AS/400s involving multiple releases of J.D. Edwards and other packaged software.
  • Responsible for the analysis and programming of the conversion of product, customer, sales and warehouse data for a national fastener wholesaler.
  • Responsible for management, analysis and programming of a project to incorporate an interested party database into three systems for an investment advisory firm.
  • Modified a financial brokerage package to meet new government regulations to settle securities transactions in 3 days for an investment advisory firm.
  • Consolidated three duplicate client databases and business unit systems to use one client database for an investment advisory firm.
  • Designed and programmed the interface that swept balances from a brokerage system to a mutual fund system automatically for an investment advisory firm.
  • Designed, programmed and implemented a vacation system utilized in the dynamic scheduling and payment of over 1800 employees for a Fortune 500 food manufacturer.
